Slavnitsky, Russian words by A. Youriev. This piece reveals the feelings of love and infinite grief of the proud bird to his deceased companion.

Gioacchino Rossini (1792-1868) - "Napolitan Tarantella". The original for the voice and the piano. The choral arrangement by Y. Slavnitsky. This famous work by the great Italian composer was based on the intonations of the fiery and passionate folk dance.

Dobri Christov (1875-1941) - "In Thy Kingdom". A fragment of the Liturgy of Saint John Chrisostom (a chant of Russian and Bulgarian Orthodox Church). The transcription for the children choir by L. Yuzhakov.

Alexandre Gretchaninov (1864-1956) - "Credo". The original for the mixed choir, arranged for the children choir by Igor Gribkov. A fragment of the Liturgy op. 29. To be performed simultaneously by the choristers and the parishioners of a church to symbolize that only true believers have the right to be present at the fulfillment of the Holy Eucharist sacrament.

Mikhail Glinka (1804-1857), words by Viktor Zabila (1808-1869) - "Don't You Sing, the Nightingale". The original for the voice and the piano, the choral arrangement by Stanislav Gribkov.The founder of the Russian classical music wrote this song to the words by a Ukranian poet Zabila following the Ukranian folk song tradition. It is about a sorrowful fate of a lonely and suffering person.

Monotonously Rings the Bell Anonym, words by I. Makarov. Arranged for the soloist and the choir by S.Gribkov.This old romance is a remembrance of youth and the first love, a reflection about eternal human feelings.

Those Evening Bells Anonym, words by Thomas MooreTranslated into Russian by Ivan Kozlov (1779-1840). Arranged for the soloist and the choir by S.Gribkov.The chime of the bells floating somewhere in the evening sky above brings nostalgie about the faded youth and love.

I Was Dancing with A Mosquito Russian Folk Song. Arranged by Irina Yeltcheva. A merry dancing in which a girl is laughing at a boy, her clumsy partner, who is represented as a mosquito in the song.

Vologda Songs Russian Folk Song. Arranged for the choir a capella by S.Gribkov.These are comic refrains about love sung by village girls at their eveming meetings. A part of the choir imitates the strum of the Russian accordeon.

Kamarinskaya Russian Folk Song. Arranged for the choir by S.Gribkov.This is a merry dancing tune with amusing rhymes which are not to be translated.

The Moon is Shining Russian Folk Song. Arranged for the voice, the balalaika and the piano by Boris Troyanovsky, arranged for the choir by S.Gribkov.This is another dancing tune in which a girl sings playfully about the sufferings of her unshared love.
