Yuri Slavnitsky (1926-2000) The founder of the Children's choir of Leningrad (St.Petersburg) TV and Radio Company. Honoured Art Worker of Russia, professor, worked with the Choir from 1955 till l988. Graduated from Leningrad Conservatoire named after N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov from the class of professor Georgy A. Dmitrevsky, and did his postgraduate studies in Moscow Conservatoire in the class of Boris E. Khaikin. A talented musician and teacher, well-educated cultured man of the Russian intellectuals. His enormous creative heritage is carefully preserved in the phonoteque of St.Petersburg Radio Company, and has been published by many musical publishing houses.
